Bellingham has one of the most
extensive trail, park and open space systems in Washington State. With 3,200
acres of parks, it would take a large amount of time to see them all. However,
the City of Bellingham Park and Recreation department has created a way for trail
goers to see which trails and parks are visited the most and what each park
offers.
With
the Trail User Counts, offered on the City of Bellingham’s website, you are
able to see which area is frequented the most every month and what the average
temperature was for that given month. You
can also log onto the city’s website and see what parks offer sports fields,
trails, play/picnic area, water access and other amenities.
